With a 'One World, One Geography' philosophy, Energy Archipelago is the first global data portal for community renewables.  This web platform helps a growing number of nations connect with their local community-owned renewable energy projects to better understand the progress, contribution and benefits these projects bring.  Look out for the mobile app release in 2016!

Solar technology has the potential to change lives and increase access to sustainable energy across the world.  We are supporting Urjaa Samadhan to provide mobile and web tools that connect people with broken solar equipment to people who can fix it.  

Our Solar Atlas is based on CartoDB cloud services with D3 interactive charts, using QGIS to manage and analyse the incoming spatial data.

Deploying the best open source mapping tool is our bread & butter.  Our award-winning approach to community mapping was piloted in Scotland in 2013 for climate resilience in the Carse of Gowrie area. As part of this approach, we helped local residents create a reporting app for iOS and Android (based on Ushahidi) relevant to their local issues; for example extreme weather, service disruption and local events.
